1. Geo Engineering – Foreman, SHE Non-Mining

  • Organize, monitor, control, evaluate and develop safety programs of the Privatization companies, Contractor and all related parties in PTFI contract of work area to implement the GOI regulations and the company minimum safety standard, in compliance with PTFI policies and procedures, in order to lower the acceptable accident rate by GOI, investor and community.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day safety activities at assigned area, in order to identify the hazard and follow it up by preventive action required that should be taken and the GOI regulations.
  • Provide safety and loss prevention information, support and advice to relevant parties, in order to ensure all management system regarding SHE are well conducted and comply with the standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspection/audits of project site and equipment during construction, prior to mechanical acceptance and start-up, and participate in audits of safety program implementation as well.
  • Develop and implement inspection and preventive maintenance programs and develop efficient record keeping systems, in order to ensure safety equipment and facilities are maintained in optimum working condition.
  • Provide assistance for the emergency simulation implementation and evaluate the result, to ensure the emergency action plan and evacuation plan in areas responsibility are communicated periodically to all employees, in order to obtain their understanding well and obviously
  • Provide assistance for the area management to review the safety program implementation (Company and Division program), to ensure that program implemented appropriate with the GOI (Government of Indonesia) legislation and safety company standard
  • Follow up all corrective actions for all identification occupational/industrial health issues based on sampling program that implemented by Industrial Hygiene group, that cooperate with AEA and area management, to organize and monitor in the performing the physic and occupational health tests for all employees in areas of responsibility
  • Lead or assist in investigations into near misses, property damage, injuries, occupational illness and spills/loss of containment, ensuring that database records of such incidents are maintained.
  • Plan, organize, implement and participate in safety meeting for the management and safety officer in their areas of responsibility, to increase and develop the employee to care about safety and health matters
  • Perform and coordinate follow-up action of accident/incident investigations’ result and safety audit findings, in order to ensure those are completed in “close the loop” ways and that necessary reports are submitted.
  • Keep updated of new technology and developments in safety and loss prevention field, with special emphasis on novel methods or products where feasible for the benefit of the company.

  • Find out the most effective and efficient approach for harmonizing client’s needs and safety concern.
  • To face “the open area” because it raises many problems, not only safety problem. The jobholder should coordinate and cooperate with related parties such as Security, EPO, Town Administration, Maintenance, KPI, safety area etc. and consistent in implementing the rules and procedures.
  • To implement the safety regulation in area of responsibility as well as meet to company standards and procedures. The jobholder must ensure implementation all safety procedures, as it should be by the employees.
  • To assist the related department in safety program implementation. The jobholder should improve initiative in communicating and explaining the safety program to area owner directly. To enhance participation, commitment an ownership of area management toward FSHMS implementation. Required extra attention and proper approach in communicating to contractor to be commitment to safety.
  • Perform investigations and generate conclusion in demanding and less familiar situations, using precedent and own acquired knowledge.
  • Responsible Division training compliance and data training management for all safety mandatory training

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • S1 / S2 degree in safety or any related discipline with at more 2 years working experience in safety, preferable in certified safety professional with at least 1-2 years working in safety, its a plus.

2. Geo Engineering – Engineer, GIS #1

  • Provide expertise in the development, implementation and maintenance of enterprise GIS platform and database; support implementation plans for GIS technologies for internal stakeholders to maximize multi discipline usage of GIS data; and to develop and maintain GIS information and supporting databases for mineral management.
  • Supervise GIS contractor services delivery products and ensure all information in GIS are updated when necessary.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

  • Development of GIS applications to integrate existing and new GIS data into internal stakeholders’ business practices on web and mobile platform.
  • Mainly to implements GIS analysis tools for the system users and operators; designs and develops GIS database models and templates including mineral management of unpatented claims, areas of interest and notices of location.
  • Supports maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure the security of GIS information.
  • Works with PTFIs GIS contractors to develop best alternatives in term of technology and costs for PTFI.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Geography or related field and at least three (3) years of specific experience with ESRI ARC GIS software, including ARCGIS server and mobile applications and two (2) years of GIS mining specific experience including notices of location, unpatented claims and areas of interest;

  • Serve as advocate/representative for eligible employees who file a complaint under the Grievance Procedure
  • Support employee position through research (this may include employee interviews, policy reviews and legal research) and assist in the development of a clear argument.
  • Provide guidance to employees with regard to the Grievance Procedure and the Open Door Policy. Occasionally may provide guidance on a variety of other topics including Company policies, procedures, benefits, paid time off and the evaluation process.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records and reports for documentation of events and results.
  • Ensure all administrative processes within Grievance Process are closely followed.
  • Assist with the development of training material for the Grievance process and conduct training when requested.

  • Coordinate the communication of Industrial Relations and issues to all levels of management in all departments, in order to ensure that Policies and Procedure and other management policies are implemented consistently and fairly.
  • Provide recommendation to management and court regarding the most appropriate disciplinary action should be implemented, in order to fair and consistent implementation of industrial relations standards and policies across the company and minimize employee’s violations.
  • Perform routine interface with supervisors and heads of department as well as Union Representatives to obtain and/or update information and issues related to Human Resources and Industrial Relations to be used as basis for decision making, policy making and problem-solving efforts related to human resources and industrial relations issues.
  • Review IR documents and reports to ensure the correctness of analysis made by subordinates on infraction inputs from internal and/or external sources, e.g., identification of the regulation of policy violated and follow them up by having notice for each infraction prepared and issued to the concerned departments.
  • Perform as an information source to Central Industrial Relation Committee and assist respective Department Heads and front-line supervisors in workforce problem solving in order to facilitate the maintenance of a stable and productive industrial relations climate.
  • Design and deliver the employee engagement strategy, monitoring, and evaluating as appropriate
  • Ensure that the development and delivery of effective engagement tools are developed, maintained, and evaluated to ensure effectiveness.

12. Enviromental – Scientist, Data Compilation Coastal dan Marine

  • Provide data and information regarding environmental related condition as assigned, which will be used in further analysis, in order to support superior recommendation and decision.
  • The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:
  • Observe, measure, record, and compile environmental facts in the areas assigned, for use by the company.
  • Fill out routine Environmental Department approved mapping, sampling and logging data forms to record environmental data for database input in line with Company’s SOP.
  • Perform regular quality control checks of data entry, drafting, modeling, and other work to ensure the products in the areas assigned are accurate, consistent and complete.
  • Provide and submit periodical report (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) including data review and analysis to superior, which can be used as foundation for decision-making.
  • Report observation on the environment in written formats as required, so that this information can be included in further compilation and interpretation of the data and so that company records are maintained for the future.

13. Geo Engineering – Engineer, UG Geotech DOZ – DMLZ

  • Provide geotechnical recommendation and/or services to the PTFI U/G Mines by directing the design, support and monitoring of geotechnical aspects of U/G Mine facilities and operations to ensure safe and efficient operation of U/G Mines.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

  • Meet the PTFI Safety and Environmental Programs and standards.
  • Inspect and analyze ground condition for any new development heading to ensure the recommended support design fit with the actual ground condition.
  • Evaluate and modify ground support design for new development areas using GSST tools to ensure the lifetime stability of the opening.
  • Analyze ground movement and damage progress as impact of induce stress or mining activity (blasting, caving, production, etc) to provide appropriate action plans, in order to ensure safety of the miners and also to achieve production target.
  • Analyze seismic monitoring data to indicate ground response and seismic related hazards to ensure the safety of underground facilities, access and production areas.
  • Inspect and monitor ground condition of DMLZ mine fix facilities (e.g. ore pass, loading point, crusher, vent raise, access, office and any mass excavation) and provide warning of unsafe condition and short/long term mitigation plan.
  • Monitor displacement by conducting convergence measurement using geotechnical devices (e.g. tape or scanner) on any drift and working areas, particularly for complex and high-risk areas, to ensure safe and efficient operation of mine. Recommend re-support or rehabilitation as required.
  • Conduct cave monitoring program such as TDR and open hole measurement and construction of cave shape by combining all monitoring data (including seismic, cave tracker and smart marker) to interpret cave propagation and material movement.
  • Update database system for geotechnical data/information and reports/recommendation so the database is accessible and preservable.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly report for reviewing from senior engineers.
  • Develop his skills and knowledge to go along with new technology and methods to improve the service to clients and cope with new project and case study in block cave mining.
  • Develop skills of subordinates following their development plans.
